The national park’s S6 circuit connects Svartifoss and Sjónarnípa from the Skaftafell visitor area. Basalt columns, flowing water and views of Skaftafellsjökull bring different scales to the walk.
Use the park’s current trail map and closure notices. A trail overlooking a glacier is not a glacier-walking route; do not continue onto the ice from a viewpoint.
